You Make A Difference In The World!

make a difference, live a life without limits“God tell her I’m sorry. Tell her I love her.”

Two doctors stood in the doorway. Arms crossed, noticeably uncomfortable, they gazed at the floor. We’re sorry he said. He paused and looked up at me and then away again.

“We did everything we could, it just wasn’t enough to save her.”

We stood in silence. We were numb. Seconds passed before it started to sink in, before we really heard and understood what they said.

How could my beautiful little girl be gone?

Why didn’t I hear her go out the front door?
How could I let her drown?
How do I tell her big brother and sister that they don’t have a little sister anymore?

“Would you like to see her before you go?” the emergency room physician asked.

Go, I thought to myself, Go, how do I go and leave her here?

We held her and I’m glad we did but it was strange her body was empty and cold.

We wept.

The angels are watching over us. This day was no different, but it took me some time before I understood.

This was the day Serena was called home.

I didn’t know the plan. I thought she was staying with us. I thought I was going to die first.

I knew she was special but I didn’t know how special and how short her life was designed to be.

I didn’t know her short life was going to be the biggest lesson in mine!

Not to say my lesson was more difficult than others because it’s not. We each have our own experiences and lessons whether it’s the loss of a loved one, divorce, loss of innocence, cancer to battle or something else.

There are some amazing hard earned experiences and lessons inside you!

You Make a Difference in the World When You Share Your Experiences!

Your story is uniquely you just as much as your thumbprint, and only you can share it. The world is waiting for you and your message! Know that your life IS the example others want.

I know it can be a scary thought to but yourself out there, vulnerable for the whole world to see.

So what happens when things get scary?

In our mind we start to down play our potential, our ego steps in. And thoughts like, I don’t really know anything, I don’t have the time, I don’t have the money, it’s just not me or I’m too shy, start to flood our mind.

It’s amazing what we can talk ourselves out of.  But the truth is, it’s even more amazing what we can create once we let go of the fear and self-doubt.

So how do you go from where you are now to sharing your story and creating your life without limits?

Write down what your life without limits would look like and then attach the WHY. The why is a vital piece!

When you hit some bumps along the way, and you will, we ALL do, look back at your why and remind yourself how far you have come, how strong you have been and how your life will change when you honor your story and share your message.

So now it comes to when. When do you start?

“Yesterday is gone. Tomorrow has not yet come. We have only today. Let us begin.”  ― Mother Teresa

Yes now is the time. If we don’t take action while the thought is fresh in our mind it soon disappears. So now is the time to start.

Life is very precious and there is something inside You calling You forward. The experiences, lessons, and people in your life have been placed in your world for a purpose.

Your story benefits the world!

Your experiences matter!

It’s sharing your story with the world that honors your past experiences and transforms your life and the lives of the people around you.

So what is your next step?

I didn’t know her short life was going to be the biggest lesson in mine! Those are very powerful words that describe my life now. Losing my son to suicide and addiction has really opened my eyes and heart to a world that many do not understand.

Thanks Cindy. I agree the loss of a child is impossible for someone to understand unless they have walked that path and of course none of us would wish that for them. I feel so blessed to have had her be a part of our lives and I know you feel the same with your son. We are here to honor your experience and support your growth.

Tears streaming down my eyes while reading it. I haven’t lost a child to death but I did lose one to drugs for awhile and felt similar. Many blessings to you and the work you do.

What you share and how you share it is a true testimonial to the power we hold over what happens in our lives…you CHOSE to find lessons and seek the positive. You are a blessing to so many. Yes, we all have stories to share, me included. By the grace of God I was instilled with the belief that our experiences are for sharing and learning…I am honored to have connected with you. Blessings

Beautiful story and it definitely does take courage to tell it. How often have I told my own for just that reason? I often say that those moments of greatest loss are also the doorways to the greatest growth potential. Obviously you have walked through that door and have gained much from the experience. Many blessings.
