Successful People Embrace Being Uncomfortable

This past weekend, my 5-year-old granddaughter, come down the stairs. She had her cute little blue ruffled swimsuit on, and a beach towel in her hand.

Granted we live in California and it was a sunny day but it still was too cold, in my mind to go swimming. “Wotcha doing?” I asked, as if I didn’t know.

“I’m going swimming,” she answers, and out she went.

I followed behind. I was sure she would decide it was just to cold to get in. But no, she jumped in without a second’s hesitation with both feet. In just a few seconds she jumped out, wrapped herself in the towel and warmed up.

As soon as she was a little warm, back into the pool she went. She knew how uncomfortable she was going to be and she still jumped in and, “went for it.”

A Habit Of Successful People Is They Embrace Being Uncomfortable!

I thought to myself how brave she was to jump into the pool the second time knowing how cold the water was. As an entrepreneur I meet so many people who want to create changes in their life. Many want to create more financial freedom or time freedom, have a more healthy lifestyle or build an online business. Always with change there will be some discomfort.

The problem comes when they feel uncomfortable or unsure. At this point, many stop moving towards their dreams, they give up. Successful people make it a habit to embrace being uncomfortable!

Imagine what your life would be like if you embraced your feelings of fear, discomfort or uncertainty.

Imagine what it would be like to accept these feelings as part of a challenge or learning process. As each of us grows and learns we must accept the uncomfortable feelings as a part of the normal process of building a new future, in order to move forward in our personal and professional lives.

As I continue to learn and accept new challenges, I know the feelings are there because I am learning something new.

Like anyone else I don’t what to face failure, rejection, self-doubt, or criticism. But these are the things that come with growth and growing a business. When these feelings challenge me I remind myself of why I chose to be an entrepreneur.

I wanted to have control over my time. After my daughter died I realized how precious life and time is. We help other women know that they too can create the life they desire.

You can share your stories, experiences, and talents with the world and create Your Life Without Limits! These are the things that help me stay on course and continue to learn, grow, and achieve success in my life.

I know that as empowered women we must embrace the feelings of being uncomfortable.

Every successful person has faced these feelings and gotten comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Like my granddaughter that jumped in the pool, jump in with both feet and expect to be uncomfortable. To have the lifestyle of your dreams face the challenges and accept them as a positive message that you are learning and growing.

Picture yourself 6 months from now knowing you accepted the challenges in front of you.

What does your life look like?

As you face the challenges in front of you, you will start to feel better and better about your life. You will know you are leading the life of your design.

I encourage you to live the life of your dreams!

Whew!!! This came just at the right time. Normally, I’m all excited and stoked to go forward with my own work of supporting those in their Third Trimester of Life. BUT. Today, I woke pessimistic, disappointed, scared and feeling alone. Thanks for the right words at the right time.

It’s so powerful to have people around that will encourage us to embrace being uncomfortable! Especially when the rest of the world seems to be saying that it’s ok and even preferable to take the easy road in life! This is important work that you are doing, thank you!

So true! Growth is about confronting uncomfortable thoughts, feelings and experiences as they show up in our lives. We are never given anything we cannot handle – it’s only some choose to believe in themselves and others don’t. Overcoming these challenges enables us to move forward to a new level of understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Thanks for sharing.
