Discover Your Purpose Through Sharing Your Story & Message Even When It Feels Crazy

your purposeYour Message Is Your Purpose!

Your Purpose is in Your Message… in Your Story!

Do you ever ask yourself, “What is my life purpose?”

We hear all the time, “I’m just not sure what my purpose is.”

The truth – Your message, Your lessons are what makes You…You!

And in your message, your lessons, experience, that are uniquely yours… Is Your Purpose.

The experiences were not given to you for no reason.

Here is my biggest lesson.

Jean’s Story

My life changed the day my daughter died. God tell her I’m sorry.

As the back doors of the ambulance closed I struggled to catch a glimpse of her face. I was looking for some sort of reassurance that she was OK.

You see I was the mother of 3 kids and the youngest, was Serena, and she was a whirlwind of energy.

I was cooking dinner when I noticed the house had gotten quiet. I wiped off my hands and thought to myself, what the heck is she up to.

Serena was curious about everything. She had blond curly hair with big blue eyes, and she was as cute as a button.your life purpose

But, she was always on the move and a quiet house was never normal for us.

When I passed the front door and saw it was partially open, my heart started to race, and immediately panic set in.

Have you ever had that happen when you get scared as h*ll? When your heart starts to race, and your stomach turns into a tight knot?

One moment I’m cooking dinner and the next, I’m seeing Serena face down in our small garden Koi pond.

An hour later I am in the emergency room bargaining with God.

I prayed, bargained, promised.
“God I can’t do this, I’m not strong enough, please, please don’t take her.”
“God just tell me what to do, I’ll do whatever it takes, please just let me take her home.”

We waited hours.

Two physicians came to the doorway. Their arms were crossed. They stared down at the floor then glanced at me and then again their eyes looked away.
“I’m sorry we did all we could, it just wasn’t enough…it just wasn’t enough to save her,” they said.

I’ll never forget those words.

I stood there numb.
How could she be gone?

How do I tell her big brother and sister that they don’t have a little sister anymore?

How do I go home without her?

I felt guilty, angry, lost, sad, confused, empty.

For years Serena had become my silent secret child because the memory of her death and the guilt I carried was so painful that it seemed easier to try and bury the thoughts of her death deep inside some hidden untouchable part of me.

I thought that if I didn’t talk about her or share her story, it would hurt less.

But I learned it doesn’t work that way. When we share our message, our story, miracles happen!

We heal ourselves, our family, and the world around us!

We inform and educate the world.

We spark conversations.

We make a difference.

We serve our purpose!

I share her story because every single one of us have stories and messages to share.

You hear the whispering deep inside you that tells you there has to be more and yet you hide it.

You have so much to offer and you can live from a place where you give meaning to why you went through what you did.

If it is loss of someone close, loss of innocence, divorce, or a serious illness, it came as a lesson that we are now here to unravel and to give it meaning.

You have been through the worst, the pain, confusion, fear, now is the time to decide to live and give back because your experiences have not been for nothing.

Today commit to making a difference!

You are here for a reason and you had the experience and lessons for a reason so lets get the meaning.

Sometimes our purpose comes from the ashes of deep pain and others our greatest joy…those that find it either way are true blessings to the rest of us! Thanks for sharing this wonderfully insightful article!

Thanks for sharing your story with us, and show us how we can heal ourselves. When we go through the loss of a loved one it is so difficult to return to our normal life, and so necessary to have someone with your strength to guide us!

Sometimes it can be so hard to share those stories…and yet…when we do, as you said, miracles happen. We do all have a purpose and often, it is through loss that we discover it. Thank you for sharing your story…big hugs…
